Yes. In many cases, we can recreate a component using an existing sample, damaged part, assembly, or physical component when original drawings are unavailable. Our reverse engineering process can include advanced inspection processes including CNC CMM and 3D laser scanning, material evaluation, CAD modeling, and functional analysis to develop a manufacturable replacement. Depending on the condition and complexity of the part, additional information such as photographs, mating components, or performance requirements may help ensure the most accurate reproduction.

Lead times vary depending on part complexity, material availability, quantity, and project requirements. We work closely with customers to understand their timelines and provide realistic production schedules, including support for urgent and time-sensitive manufacturing needs when possible. 

The more information you can provide, the more accurate your quote will be. Helpful items include drawings, CAD/STEP files, photographs, material specifications, quantities, and delivery requirements. If drawings are unavailable, we can often work from an existing sample part.

Tolerance requirements vary by part geometry, material, and manufacturing process. For many machined components, Consortia can routinely achieve sub-micron tolerances. Tighter tolerances may be possible depending on the application, material, and inspection requirements.
